Zusammenfassung: | This article studies the last roman of Castillo Solórzano: the picaresque element, the court novels included in the life of the pícara Rufina and the love theme, the structure and the concept of exemplarity-morality. It is concluded that this author, who has cultivated all genres, writes finally La garduña de Sevilla, a commercial literary product, when the picaresque vein is already exhausted, and achieves the success of readers, as shown by the successive editions and translations. |
