Zusammenfassung:Background and Objectives: Individuals who are aware of the positive effects of goodness use it as a means of maintaining and controlling their health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-compassion on health literacy among first grade students in Gonabad city in the academic year of 1995-96. Materials and Methods: This study was a descriptive-correlational study.The statistical population consisted of all primary and secondary school students of Shahrghanabad, whose total number was 2725 and based on stratified random sampling and according to the Morgan table, a sample of 351 people was considered. A self-report questionnaire of compassion and health literacy questionnaire was used to collect information. Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression, independent t-test and ANOVA test were used for data analysis using SPSS v20 software. Results: The mean and standard deviation of the total health literacy score was 77.11 ± 17.41 and the total score of compassion was 71.6 ± 12.9.
