Zusammenfassung: | Species from different continents are cultivated and exploited by traditional knowledge established in different regions of Brazil. In this sense, clovebasil (Ocimum gratissimum L.) produces secondary metabolites used in Medicine, Industry and Agriculture. The establishment of guidelines that aim to regulate the cultivation, sustainable management, production, distribution and use of plants with this potential have been studied. With the purpose of determining the occurrence of insects associated with plants clovebasil Ocimum gratissimum (L.), in Luiz Meneghel campus of State University of Northern Parana, Brazil, it was conducted a follow-up study in the field from July 2008 to June 2009. The plants were inspected weekly for a period of ten minutes during one year. The collections were mademanually or with a small aerial net. The populations of insects were characterized by means of faunal indices of frequency, constancy, dominance and species richness. The insects found belong to the orders Coleoptera Chrysomelidae, Hemiptera (suborder Auchenorryncha) Aethalionidae, Cercopidae, Cicadellidae, Delphacidae, Membracidae, Acalioniidae and Flatidae families; (suborder Heteroptera) Scutellaridae, Largidae, Pentatomidae, Coreidae, and Pyrrhocoridae Alydidae; and order Hymenoptera, Formicidae, Apidae and Vespidae families. Stood out as the most numerous leafhopper Aethalion reticulatum (L.), the ant Camponotus rufipes (Fabr.) and Apis mellifera (L.). As populaçõe |
