Zusammenfassung:In Thomas Aquinas’ most mature work, the Summa theologiae, philosophy and theology are exquisitely combined. Accurate scholars have shown that its aim was to work out a course in Moral Theology firmly rooted in a Metaphysical Theology. Thus, the more or less explicit key to understand this monumental work is the issue about the image and likeness of God, which, as present in the Patristic and Mediaeval traditions, allows for an accurate exchange between Philosophy and Theology, Ethics and Metaphysics.
