Zusammenfassung:The author (1992) developed a spline collocation method that was successfully applied to continuous systems described by differential equations. It is based on selecting the spline point such that the second derivative of the independent variable is zero at the spline point. This method is now extended to discrete systems described by different equations and is applied to the simulation of distillation columns.
