Zusammenfassung:Stress disorder is one of factor which triggered depression. Stress can induced the inflammation response in human which causes depression. There is a significant role between stress and mediatory inflammasome like nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain (NOD), leucine-rich repeat (LRR), and pyrin domain containing protein-3 (NLRP3) that can triggered depression. Its mechanism occurred through increasing interleukin 1 β (IL‑1β), and interleukin 18 (IL-18) and derived microbial-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs) as intestine commensal non-pathogenic agent, which activate endogenous damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) then caused the co-factor enzyme tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) decrease, and brain-derived neurotropic factor (BDNF) decrease in depression pathophysiology. This literature review will discuss about the mechanism of cytokine as mediatory inflammasome in depression pathophysiology that could be used as references in many studies and newest theraphy in depression cas
