Zusammenfassung:Like all averages, the HDI masks inequality in the distribution of human development across the population at the country level. Starting from this hypothesis, we chose to bring to your attention the new Inequality-adjusted Human Development Index (IHDI) which was adopted in the 20th anniversary edition of Human Development Reports, in 2010. In this article we proposed to make some comparisons between the ranks of European Countries in the hierarchy of Inequality-adjusted HDI and also, we proposed to highlight the loss in values compared with traditional HDI.
