Zusammenfassung:This article aims to reconstruct the analysis that the writer and socialist activist Josefina Marpons developed on “working women” in the magazine Mundo Argentino, in the mid– 1930s. To do this, first, the conceptualizations of female identity and its targets on wage labor will be explored. Secondly, the representations about the women work in two types of periodicals will be inquired about: on the one hand, general interest and feminine magazines, both predominantly of commercial character, and the union press. Finally, the paper deal with Marpons’ proposal on social inequities, but also on the benefits affecting women workers.
