Zusammenfassung: | The impacts of climate change are already being felt around the world. WALHI, as an environmental organization in Indonesia, offers the Community-based Area Management (Wilayah Kelola Rakyat/WKR) Concept as one of the efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change. One of WKR's practices is in the management of the Labbo Village Forest, Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi. This study tries to analyze and develop WKR by comparing it to the practice in the field. This research is a type of qualitative research using comparative methods. The results of this study indicate that WKR is proven to be an effective form of climate change mitigation. Meanwhile, regarding adaptation efforts, WKR still needs further development, including accommodating the latest adaptive knowledge to climate change without eliminating local wisdom. |
