Zusammenfassung:Electronic commerce is an opportunity for the development of business through the use of the web, this type of commerce has evolved due to the environment of companies to face competition, which motivates the study of research that has as general objective "To determine the impact of electronic commerce on the competitiveness of commercial MiPymes in the canton of San Lorenzo". The methodology used in this research was the inductive method, the deductive method, the analytical method and the bibliographic method that allowed the collection and classification of information in different physical, digital and visual texts, for the collection of information; in addition to the method of direct observation and the application of surveys directed to 105 representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises of the San Lorenzo canton. The results show that the MiPymes in this sector do not have an organizational structure where electronic commerce is involved as a web marketing channel. It was established that electronic commerce does not have much influence on the competitive advantages of commercial MiPymes of the San Lorenzo canton due to the little use of this digital tool, inexperience and lack of knowledge that representatives have. It was also possible to identify that one of the main problems is the lack of economic resources for the implementation of electronic commerce, the lack of internet connectivity, insecurity, among others; that negatively affect the implementation of these platforms that are a global trend.  El comercio electrónico es una oportunidad para el desarrollo de los negocios a través del uso de la web, este tipo de comercio ha evolucionado debido al entorno de las empresas para hacerle frente a la competencia, lo que motiva al estudio de la investigación que tiene como objetivo general “Determinar la incidencia del comercio electrónico en la competitividad de las MiPymes comerciales del cantón San Lorenzo”. La metodología que se empleó en la presente investigación fue el método inductivo, el método deductivo, método analítico y el método bibliográfico que permitió la recolección y clasificación de información en distintos textos físicos, digitales y visuales, para la recopilación de información; además del método de la observación directa y la aplicación de encuestas dirigidas a 105 representantes de las pequeñas y medianas empresas del cantón San Lorenzo.
