Zusammenfassung: | This paper aims to point out the features that constitute the essence of clown poetic. The understanding of the main features of this language was necessary because it is a fundamental premise that we may understand how such language is manifested in the central characters: Zampano and Gelsomina in La Strada (1954), Federico Fellini film. To perform this analysis, I propose to the reader a reflection on the clown poetic essence from different theoretical perspectives on this language, to then point out the traits of the characters in question, which correspond to this essence.
