Zusammenfassung:Background. Pancreatic and liver heterotopias are abnormalities of embryological origin, characterized by the presence of pancreatic and, respectively, liver tissue in various organs of the abdominal and thoracic cavities, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. The etiology of this types of ectopia is not established, being intensely discussed through several theories. Pancreatic and liverectopias in the gallbladder are extremely rare conditions, with a limited number of reports in the specialized literature. In all cases, the diagnosis of heterotopia was established only postoperatively, due to the histological examination, with the identification of the type of ectopia, according to the classifications used in literature. Conclusions. Pancreatic and hepatic choristomas are orphan pathologies, which should be considered as a differential diagnosis in case of biliary suffering. They are discovered incidentally and the possibilities of their preoperative diagnosis are limited.
