Zusammenfassung:The most recent Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliquée (or International Association of Applied Linguistics / AILA) Congress took place in July, 2017 in Rio de Janeiro. As part of the congress the Research Network on Learner Autonomy (ReNLA) held a symposium entitled “Learner autonomy in today’s developed and developing world” on July 25th, 2017. The AILA ReNLA focuses on learner autonomy in foreign/second language learning and teaching.
