Zusammenfassung:This paper intends to present a prototyping of D-BOX, an educational game designed to facilitate the teaching-learning process of binary code based on a system of small balls (marbles) and platforms. The main idea is to teach in a primary school (in fifth grade classes) how to learn a new way to convert decimal numbers into binary numbers, through a playful activity. The reason why such a game has been created is because future European citizens must enhance their logical-mathematical skills to face challenges of their future. One of these, among the others, is the conscious use of new digital media that are based on binary code to store, transmit and receive data between computer systems. Moreover binary code is fundamental to understand every artificial intelligence system and digital knowledge representation.
