Zusammenfassung:Rethinking the practice of historiography through certain productions, whether on the big or small screen, has become a topic of common interest in the academic field. In this sense, this article aims to study a particular period of Mexican history, from the mid-18th century to the first decades of the 20th century, through a specific television genre: the telenovela, a product that, incidentally, has gradually become one of the most consumed audiovisual products in Latin America.
