Zusammenfassung:Neurotrophic ulceration of the face and cornea are rare complications of trigeminal nerve damage. Their rarity makes them potentially underreported and misdiagnosed conditions. The neurogenic basis and self-manipulating nature of facial ulceration also require a rapid diagnosis to provide a rare syndrome-specific approach. Pain management for paresthesias and educating patients about their self-manipulating behaviors are key management strategies for successful treatment and improved outcomes under the multidisciplinary approach.
