Zusammenfassung:Goblet cell carcinoma (GCC) is a rare tumor. The diagnosis, management, and classification of GCC are controversial. The North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS) and European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS) recommend classifying and treating GCC's as adenocarcinomas. However, recent data shows that GCC has a different driver mutation and prognosis. Therefore, a new classification and strategy of treatment are necessary. We present a case report of advanced GCC and highlight the challenges regarding management recommendations due to the lack of consensus. We believe that this literature review will emphasize the need for multidisciplinary management and highlight the knowledge gap which impacts treatment decisions.
