Zusammenfassung: | Introduction: larva migrans, also known as miasis migrants and miasislinearis, is a condition caused by larvae of helminthes that penetrate through the dermis making lines that may be longitudinal, full of bends or twisting, which often coincide each other making it difficult to differentiate the exact location of the larva, since it is usually located away from the site of the visible skin trails. Infestation can be sole or multiple and it is located through different parts of the body. Clinical case: a 44-year-old black race patient, with a fairly health history who comes to the doctor's office presenting a linear papuloerythematous lesion and twisting path of progressive growth, pruritic (itchy) eruption, the narration of a weekend in a south coast beach was recorded. The diagnosis of cutaneous larva migrans was performed by means of the clinical and epidemiological records, medical treatment and patient’s good progression was successful. Conclusion: pruritic eruption is caused mainly by Ancylostoma braziliense; eggs are shed in infected dog or cat feces to the ground. The larvae remain in warm, humid soil or sand and penetrate unprotected skin that contacts the ground; it is important to raise the surveillance of these diseases. The correct assessment of these patients is significant to achieve the early identification in order to apply accurate treatment methods. |
