Zusammenfassung: | Podocyte infolding glomerulopathy (PIG) is a rare pathological finding that has gained more recognition recently. Most of the reported cases have been associated with connective tissue diseases especially systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Here we report the first case of Infolding Glomerulopathy associated with SLE in the Middle East.
Podocyte infolding glomerulopathy (PIG) is a type of kidney injury that might be missed due to lack of available data and unfamiliarity with the disease. Having more cases of PIG reported, especially when successfully treated, will help understanding the pathophysiology of the disease, its clinical manifestations, and the prognosis with varied implemented treatment. |
