Zusammenfassung:This article is focused on the question of academic productivism in the Brazilian legal education. Initially, it discusses the mercantilization phenomenon of the higher education and the effects of this recent event. After, it is shown that this mercantilization results in business logic, being among them the academic productivism, which results in the mass production of unlinked research of social concern and, often, without commitment to quality. Soon after, it addresses the mass phenomenon of legal courses in Brazil, which contributes to the quantitative research rather than qualitative. Finally, it defends a real and effective change in legal education, which should be based on quality and social transformation.
