Zusammenfassung:We document the first record of Imantodes gemmi­stratus for Zacatecas state, Mexico. In August 2016, one adult male was found in a dry forest and oak forest ecotone in the Municipality of Valparaiso. This new record extends known distribution of the species 166 km to the northeast  from the nearest previous record in Nayarit state.
