Zusammenfassung:Momordica charantia roots showing symptoms of root-knot disease were collected from vegetable gardens in the city of Recife, PE, Brazil. Through morphological and enzymatic characterization and molecular analysis of ITS and 28S rDNA regions, Meloidogyne incognita was identified. This is the first report of this species in M. charantia in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil.
