100 Years Since the Beginning of Scientific Study Selitrennoe Settlement (some results and conclusions)

The article is devoted to the 100th anniversary of the archaeological research at the Selitrennoe settlement of the expedition led by F.V. Ballod. These works are considered the beginning of the scientific study of the monument – the capital of the Golden Horde of the city of Sarai al-Jedida. A comparative analysis of the results of the work of Ballad, the Volga Archaeological Expedition of the USSR Academy of Sciences is given/Russian Federation and research of the last two decades. The complexes of coin finds on the settlement are considered. A brief description of the complex research of the Golden Horde monument with the use of modern non-contact technologies is given. The value of the field research conducted by F.V. Ballod and the theoretical justification of the need to study the monuments of the Golden Horde is noted.
