Zusammenfassung:In this work we present the synthesis of (2S)-1-carbamoyl-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid (N-carbamoyl-L-proline) and (S)-tetrahydro-pyrrol-[1,2-c]-imidazole-1,3-dione (hidantoyn-L-proline). These materials were characterized by the FT-IR and NMR uni and bidimensional spectroscopic techniques. X-ray powder diffraction study indicated that both compounds crystallizes in orthorhombic cells, space group P212121 and unit cell parameters a = 12.495(1) Ǻ, b = 9.7672(6) Ǻ, c = 6.4571(7) Ǻ, and a = 11.358(2) Ǻ, b = 7.992(1) Ǻ, c = 7.1262(6)(7) Ǻ, for N-carbamoyl and hydantoin, respectively.
