Algunas novelas gráficas sobre Frida Kahlo. De Flâneuse al kahloismo

Although the numerous graphic novels about Frida Kahlo focus on the biography of the artist, contributing to the consolidation of a myth that alternates the topics of feminism and exoticism. For this reason, in this article we have opted for a thematic selection that has biased psychobiography in favour of border issues such as Mexi-canness and political commitment. Through an analytical reading of the creative pro-cess of scriptwriters and illustrators, their attitude of flâneuse has been emphasised, thanks to literal drawings or drawings derived from symbolic exchanges. It is about outlining that there are different ways of approaching an artist that transcend her per-sonal life, as well as there are different illustrators and scriptwriters who go beyond appearances. Las numerosas novelas gráficas sobre Frida Kahlo se centran en la biografía de la artista, contribuyendo con ello a la consolidación de un mito que alterna los tópicos del feminismo y el exotismo. Por ello en este artículo se ha optado por una selección temática que ha escorado la psicobiografía en beneficio de temas fronterizos como la mexicanidad y el compromiso político. A través de una lectura analítica del proceso de creación de guionistas e ilustradores, se ha enfatizado su actitud de flâneuse gracias a dibujos literales o derivados de intercambios simbólicos. Se trata de esbozar que existen diversas formas de acercamiento a una artista que trascienden su vida personal, como también hay diferentes ilustradores y guionistas que van más allá de las apariencias.
