Zusammenfassung:We describe a case of catheter-related bacteremia caused by Mycolicibacterium iranicum in the United States. The case highlights the value of using next-generation sequencing to identify infrequent and emerging pathogens and the challenges associated with choosing appropriate treatments because of limited knowledge of drug resistance mechanisms in those emerging pathogens.
