Assessing the Cognitive Domain Levels of Cooperative Members of Citrus Orchard Owners of Dezful Township in Accordance to Drip Irrigation Method

The purpose of this research was to assess the cognitive domain levels of cooperative members of citrus orchard owners of Dezful township toward drip irrigation method. The population included cooperative members of citrus orchard owners of Dezful Township (N= 1226). A random sample of gardeners was selected based on Krejcie and Morgan table (n=295). The sampling method of this research was random cluster sampling. To test the validity of the questionnaire, a panel of experts was used. Reliability of the instrument was examined by 30 copies of questionnaires that were distributed among citrus orchard owners of Shoushtar Township. The overall Crobbach Alpha was 0.78. This research used an applied technique. A descriptive-correlational as well as causal relationship method was implemented. The results indicated that 29.2 percent of gardeners had high cognitive domain. Stepwise regression analysis determined the extension contacts, capital, level of access to communication channels and social status variables and explained 62 percent changes of cognitive domain toward drip irrigation application.
