Zusammenfassung: | Neoaortic pseudoaneurysm after previous surgery is rare and life-threatening.
We present a case of a 6th redo surgery in a 23-year-old male patient with a history of hypoplastic left heart syndrome presenting with transsternal penetration of aortic pseudoaneurysm. The previously implanted Dacron prosthesis showed semicircular dehiscence. It was exchanged by a Vascutek prosthesis during circulatory arrest and selective antegrade cerebral perfusion.
Control imaging at 1 year after surgery was unobtrusive. Three years after surgery, the patient is alive and doing well. |
