Zusammenfassung:Our research is about the employment of Portuguese posted workers in the building industry in France. A field survey led us walking the path of these posted workers and understand their motivations and difficulties between the "here" and the "over there". The purpose of this article is twofold. First, it emphasizes the interest of a methodology where questioning the pre-established categories of work, worker and migrant is possible, by implementing an adapted transnational approach. Then, it provides the results of this methodology, by the restitution of a concrete case around the worker Tiago. The posted work escapes the rigor of the bureaucratic categories seeking to frame and name migrations, by bringing out the notions of mobility, circulatory territory and interstitial times. This perspective outlines the plurality of statuses and situations that the worker will experience during his journey, but also the existence of a new economic mobility model, to which Europe is dealing with today.
