Zusammenfassung: | In this study, Central Composite Design (CCD) approach of Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was applied to develop a mathematical model and to optimize the parameters of electrocoagulation process (EC) for the removal of Yellow145 (Y145) dye. The EC process was studied by using coupled electrodes of Fe-Fe and Al-Al, separately. The operational parameters of the process such as dye concentration, pH, electrolysis time and amount of NaCl were studied to obtain their desired levels for getting the high value of the removal of the dye. The values of correlation coefficient (R2) of the model were found to be 81.71%, 56.93% for Fe-Fe and Al-Al, respectively. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) helped in finding the significant variables of the process. The response surface plots were plotted to observe the interaction between the levels of the factors on the response of the process. |
