Zusammenfassung:This study presents the discussion about the future of the Faculties of Philosophy, Sciences and Literature at the 60’s as decisive point to the Brazilian Universitarian Reform. Besides the discussions at Federal Board of Education, the reports recorded by the Brazilian Society to Progress of Science – institution responsible for the concerns of some scientific sectors along the universitarian reformation process – have been privileged. The creation of the Faculties of Education is the theme of this study, as a result of those discussions.
