Zusammenfassung: | An improved, greener synthesis of motexafin gadolinium (MGd), a promising radiosensitizer and imaging agent that has the potential to treat or diagnose cancer, has been developed. Notably, this study addresses critical difficulties related to MGd synthesis and analysis of possible approaches, minimizing hazardous reagents/solvents, without column chromatography. The synthesis has been improved to enhance the overall yield and purity of MGd. The process changes outlined in this study are intended to lower production costs and time while maintaining the compound’s characteristics. This synthesis of MGd is an important step toward attaining its full potential in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. |
