Zusammenfassung:Primary superficial venous aneurysms (VAs) are uncommon solitary dilatations of a vein and are usually asymptomatic. Superficial VAs are manifested more frequently in the lower extremities than in the upper extremities. Primary superficial VAs of the upper extremities are more often reported as esthetically displeasing bulges or incidental findings. Here, we report the rare case of a giant basilic vein aneurysm in the proximal forearm that presented with a recent increase in size and pain.
