Turismo sexual e exploração sexual infantil: uma análise da atuação do programa sentinela em Ilhéus

The principal contributions of this article are connected with the search of a bigger understanding about the subject, having the Program "Sentinela" as an object of study, in the municipality of Ilhéus, located in Bahia, especially to those related with the combat of the sexual childlike exploration and sexual tourism. The program is an initiative of the Federal Government, and it was introduced in 2002 to develop public services related to the childish and adolescent care victims of violence. In Ilhéus, the activities of the program are quite specific and concentrated on these questions. In this study, of exploratory character, a bibliographical revision and documentary analysis were effectuated initially. It is still configured as field work with qualitative analysis, in which the data also were obtained from semi-structured interviews.
