Zusammenfassung: | The subject of this article consists of studying how a climatic winter landscape is being progressively made and what features of winter are put forward. Absent from the illuminations for a great period, the winter landscapes are more and more represented at the end of the Middle Ages in the Flemish miniatures. But It is not a realistic landscape that the medieval man sees: the landscape is often chosen or idealised. The miniatures show only one side of the weather and life conditions in winter. |
