Zusammenfassung:The profound social, economic and political changes of recent years have led to a considerable (and still ongoing) transformation of the working environment in Romania. The agricultural sector and rural life, comprising a wide variety of distinct activities, have seen a number of changes in recent years. Agricultural entrepreneurs constantly face and manage different types of agricultural risks that can have compounding effects. Risk inherently involves adverse outcomes, including financial bankruptcy, food insecurity and human health problems. Given this context, a constant assessment of the types of risks relevant to the activities of farmer entrepreneurs is necessary. Ideally, new initiatives that seek to promote and support holistic risk management should be evidence-based, looking at how farmers cope with multiple risks.
