Cheminement sur les terres inconnues des humanités numériques

We are interested in the migratory practices of people from La Réunion and more particularly in the emergence of a “Reunionese diaspora.” We would like to further understand the way the Reunionese organise themselves when living abroad, especially the role played by internet in the formation of a virtual diaspora. The discovery of new tools used in the programme e-Diaspora (which associates both Social Scientists and engineers) has triggered off numerous questions and opened up new perspectives. We aim to point out the heuristic dimension of this collaboration, before presenting the first conclusions reached in the programme. Finally, we shall examine the question of the acculturation of researchers in the Social Sciences working with digital humanities.
