Réussite athlétique et héritage sportif

This article deals with the question of the influence of the family transmissions on the intensive sports commitment. The approach is both quantitative and qualitative and the investigation was purchased during a thesis concerning the « manufacturing » of the athletic excellence. Having analysed the role of the family socialization in the entrance to the high-level sporting career, the article approaches the question of the conditions of preservation on the high-level athletic career and of access to the status of « adult » top athlete under the angle of the parental educational strategies and the modes of management of the sportive and scholar career.
