Zusammenfassung:The first cultural industry to suffer from a lack of preparation for “digital revolutions” (e.g. the success of streaming and the MP3 standard), the music industry experienced one of the most important in a long series of crises at the turn of the 21st century. The last twenty years have been characterized by major technical and socio-economic experiments, as well as an abundant literature on economic perspectives and transformations in the social uses of music. This article offers a critical perspective on these mutations.
