Zusammenfassung: | A plethora of studies have indicated that protein or peptides derived from food sources possess potential anti-inflammatory activity. In our previous research, we discovered peptides from silkworm pupae (Bombyx mori) exhibited promising anti-inflammatory effects in mice. However, the anti-inflammatory activity of silkworm pupae protein peptides (SPP) has yet to be validated at the cellular level, and its underlying anti-inflammatory mechanisms remain unclear. Therefore, the aim of this study was to explore the anti-inflammatory potential of SPP in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW264.7 inflammation model. Our research findings demonstrated that SPP significantly reduced LPS-induced inflammation in RAW264.7 cells in a dose-dependent manner, including decreased levels of inflammatory mediators (NO, MCP-1, and PEG2) and cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β).
