Zusammenfassung: | This work studies the thallium halogenide TlBr/TlBrxCl1-x quantum dot (QD) semiconductor structure and specifies its optical gain. This QD structure is very few studied. The gain increases and shifts to a blue wavelength by reducing the Br mole fraction in the barrier. The spectra cover the range 1400–6100 nm. Long wavelengths are essential in applications such as medical diagnostics, infrared measurements, and free-space optical communications. The p-doped TlBr/TlBrxCl1-x QD structure is studied where the gain is increased under doping. The spectrum of TlBr/TlBr0.9Cl0.1 QD structure is examined and has two peaks and a dip absorption at high carrier density. |
