Zusammenfassung:[Display omitted] The oxidation of carbon monoxide (CO) is highly applications in the fields of gas masks, gas sensors and the catalytic converter in fuel cells. These reactions attracts much attention both in their primary and functional research of catalysis. Productions of cerium (Ce) particles for CO oxidation catalysts, mainly in the last three decades are reviewed. The new investigations and processes in the preparation of cerium catalysts for CO oxidation are discussed in this review. Different modifications are made in the cerium catalysts to synthesis approaches for the suitable catalysts are critically analyzed. In this review, studied the different types of cerium catalysts developed to oxidised CO at a low temperature. In comparisons of activity, stability, toughness, and prices of various CO oxidation catalysts, the cerium catalysts have been reviewed. This review represents that the main information of cerium catalysts development for low-temperature CO oxidation in the future. There are lots of research articles are present on this topic, but very few numbers of review papers are published on this issue. So this is a gap fulfilled by this manuscript.
