intrathoracic gastric volvulus complicating such a hernia is rarer. The
upper gastrointestinal tract contrast study is diagnostic. Rapid
diagnosis and treatment is essential. It avoids lethal complications as
gastric dilatation, gangrene and perforation, which in turn may lead to
cardiopulmonary arrest. |
