Expression of Serum Omentin-1 and Oxidative Stress Parameters in Elderly Patients withType 2 Diabetes Mellitus Complicated with Osteoporosis

Objective To investigate the expression of serum omentin-1 and oxidative stress parameters in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) complicated with osteoporosis. Methods A prospective study was conducted in 148 elderly patients with T2DM admitted to Handan Central Hospital from January 2020 to January 2023.According to the T value of bone mineral density,the patients were divided into a normal bone mass group(51 cases),a osteopenia group (45 cases) and an osteoporosis group(52 cases).The expression of oxidative stress parameters such as serum Omentin-1,total superoxide dismutase(T-SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),nuclear factor-E2 related factor 2(Nrf2) and heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) was detected.
