Zusammenfassung:To achieve maximum efficiency of the teaching process, it is necessary to eliminate the negative effects of traditional teaching such as forcing verbalism, reproductive learning, the dominant role of teacher and insufficient students' engagement. Teachers today have better opportunities for more creative work with students, and this is especially expressed in Moja okolina (My Environment) subject classes. The experimental method is learning by observing direct reality, following protocols and keeping notes of observations. We examined the attitudes and opinions of 100 primary school teachers from Sarajevo Canton. The results of this work show that teachers are familiar with the benefits of the experimental method but do not apply it enough. Teachers recognize teaching materials which are compatible in work with this method. Teachers are familiar with many benefits of applying the experimental method for students but the conditions, support and expertise to apply it more and better are missing.
