Environmental Change and Public Health: Observations on the trajectory of an brazilian amazon agricultural frontier

The agricultural occupation of the Amazon, as well as contributing to the degradation of an important part of this biome, has brought negative consequences for the health of the local population. This problem can be better understood when we do an analysis of the environmental history of the region. We use this approach to develop a doctoral thesis research that studied the relationship between environmental change and public health over the occupation phases of an agricultural frontier in the Brazilian Amazon.
