Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this paper was to verify the relationship between body adiposity and physical activity indicators (IAF) in adolescents during summer vacation. The research was carried out from December (1998) to February (1999). In order to get IAF data (Heartbeat Frequency - FC, Body Movements - VM, and Relative Energy Consumption - GER) we made use of FC monitor, Tritac R3D, and Bouchard's protocol et al., 1983. Regarding data related to adiposity indicators (Body Mass Index - IMC, and Sum of Skin Fold of Triceps plus Subscapular - capital sigma DCTR+SB) we used scales (0,50g precision), a tape measure, and a compass of skin fold (Lange, 1mm precision).The research's data were collected from 28 male students, with 14 or 15 years of age. The sample was divided into two groups in the variables of capital sigma DCTR+SB and IMC (G1 - minor adiposity index and G2 - major adiposity index). The data referring to IAF was collected in three intercalated days (two weekdays and one day of the weekend) from 8 a.m. to 8 p. m. (FC and VM), and from midnight to midnight (GER).
