Zusammenfassung:Our purpose is to contribute to the reflection on distance learning support for language training particularly when the former is provided by students to other students. We will focus particularly on the analysis of symmetries and asymmetries of an on-line collaborative platform system. In addition to symmetries and asymmetries constitutive of all systems, we will demonstrate that other symmetries/asymmetries appear and can be qualified as emerging ones and can be divided into three categories : strategic, behavioral or structural. We will also highlight that the perception by the students of those emergences varies (non-existent, more or less precise, more or less delayed) and the manner in which they handle those emergences may influence the way the system functions on several levels. We can conclude that it is necessary to allow the analysis of symmetries and asymmetries and especially to sensitize the students to the emergences as a constitutive phenomenon whose occurrences however, are mostly random.
