Zusammenfassung: | The recognition and subsequent assessment of traditional health care for people with animals is very
recent cycles both in academic and scientific. The objective of this study was to analyze, from the point of view
ethnovet, the use of medicinal plants by community Várzea Comprida dos Oliveiras, Pombal, Paraiba, Brazil. Data
collection occurred during March-April 2012 through visits and interviews with community residents. The approach to
the informants was performed directly in the household, which were explained in detail the objectives of the study. The
study was conducted by completing a structured questionnaire containing ten (10) specific questions about the use of
medicinal plants to treat diseases that affect animals. The questionnaire was administered to a target audience of 40
people, of whom 20 were men and 20 women, out of approximately 80 families in the community inhabitants.
Mentioned 3 species were used for the treatment of diseases affecting animals. With respect to plant parts used in the
preparation of remedies, the community cited bulbs, fruits and leaves, and about how to prepare the community cited
maceration, juice, milk and beaten with potion. The species cited for the treatment of diseases were: Garlic (Allium
sativum L.), Lemon (Citrus spp.) and Mastruz (Chenopodium ambrosioides L.). The use of medicinal species in animals
in the community was more directed towards the cure of respiratory diseases, digestive problems and inflammation in
general.
O reconhecimento e subsequente apreciação dos cuidados de saúde tradicionais das pessoas para com os
animais é muito recente tanto nos ciclos acadêmicos quanto científicos. Objetivou-se com este estudo, analisar, do
ponto de vista etnoveterinário, a utilização de plantas medicinais pela comunidade Várzea Comprida dos Oliveiras,
Pombal, Paraíba, Brasil. A coleta dos dados ocorreu no período de março a abril de 2012 através de visitas e entrevistas
aos moradores da comunidade. A abordagem aos informantes foi realizada diretamente no domicílio do entrevistado,
onde foram explicados em pormenores os objetivos do estudo. O estudo foi realizado através do preenchimento de um
questionário estruturado, contendo 10 (dez) perguntas específicas sobre a utilização de plantas medicinais no tratamento
de doenças que acometem animais. O questionário foi aplicado a um público alvo de 40 pessoas, das quais, foram 20
homens e 20 mulheres, num universo de aproximadamente 80 famílias habitantes na comunidade. |
