Zusammenfassung: | For low power lighting applications using Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs), we propose a new hybrid single inductor boost converter in this paper. Unlike traditional drivers, the proposed LED source driver has a topology that fuses a Boost converter (BC) and a hybrid Cockcroft–Walton/ Dickson converter (HCWDC). The fusion of BC and HCWDC allows for high gain and few components as well as easy control. The properties of the proposed converter, which consists of 2 modules with 2 multiplier stages, are clarified by theoretical analysis and circuit simulations. Moreover, we implement the prototype on a breadboard. In the evaluations, the proposed driver achieves higher efficiency and fewer components than the existing single inductor LED drivers. |
